Hispi cabbage, Sticky Carrots & Soba Noodles

Get ready for cabbage cooking for days as the winter approaches!

What I did:

Oven at 190/200C

Cut the carrot into batons, tossed in oil, salt, and a pinch of chilli flakes. Roasted for 15-20 mins, then added a little soy, maple syrup and sesame seeds, mixed well and returned to the oven for 5 minutes.

For the noodles I simply fried some spring onions briefly in a little oil, added the cooked soba noodles and a touch of soy and toasted sesame oil

For the cabbage, I cut a portion sized wedge, drizzled over some oil and sprinkle of salt, roasted for 15-20 mins until nice and charred on the outside, and still juicy on the inside. The sauce was a sweet, savoury slightly tangy and creamy mix of: tahini, white miso, rice vinegar, sesame oil and water.
